Whether you like it strong, long, with cream or decaf, you demand the ultimate coffee. We do too! That's why we offer Krieghoff Tips, to enjoy coffee at its best every day.
Start by choosing a perfectly balanced blend, consisting of freshly roasted beans. Only a specialist supplier will know how to provide the right mix of different varieties and offer a steady supply for continued freshness.
Grinding coffee ahead of time is not recommended. Freshly ground coffee provides full richness and the subtlety of its aromas. Krieghoff's expert advice - only buy a small amount at a time to be guaranteed perfect freshness.
If ground too fine, it will clump together to form a paste that slows down the brewing process. If ground too coarse, the filtered water will not take up all the aromas and will give the coffee a rather insipid taste. A good grind needs to be adjusted to suit the operation of your coffee maker. Please inquire of the Krieghoff staff. We will be happy to advise you.
Spring water or filtered water is preferred over tap water. Tap water is often loaded with chlorine and lime which will always make your coffee lose its flavour and alter the taste. Krieghoff's expert advice - always replace the water in your coffee maker with each use.
Regardless of what type of coffee maker you use, regular maintenance is important. Cleaning its different components is essential to keep it functioning well and extend its life.
For a smooth and creamy foam, non-skimmed milk is preferable. The best is to froth the cream in a cylindrical stainless steel container. For a firmer foam, set in the fridge for a few minutes.
Ideally, only buy small quantities at a time. Preserve the freshness of your blend by placing the beans in an opaque and hermetically sealed container. Grind your coffee only when you are ready to taste it. You can keep your beans in the freezer provided that they are vacuum packed.
