OUR EXPERT TIPS ON HOW TO BREW THE PERFECT CUP

When it comes to coffee, whether you like your brew short, long, decaf, or with a touch of cream, there’s no place for compromise—at the Café or at home. Read our tips on how to brew the perfect cup of coffee day after day.

A superior blend

A great cup of coffee starts with a perfectly balanced blend of freshly roasted beans. Only a specialized supplier has the knowledge to mix different varieties of beans and provide you with a regular supply for maximum freshness.

Freshness

We do not recommend that you grind your coffee beans ahead of time. It is only when freshly ground that the beans release the full extent of their rich and subtle aromas. We suggest that you buy small quantities at a time to ensure your coffee stays fresh.

Grinding

If the grind is too fine, the coffee clumps and turns into a paste, which slows the brewing process. On the other hand, if the grind is too coarse, the filtered water is not able to capture all of the coffee’s aromas, resulting in a bland brew. Make sure you ask for a grind that suits your coffee maker.

Water

Source, filtered, tap…not all waters are equal. Most of time, the high chlorine and limestone content in tap water weakens coffee and alters its original taste. We suggest that you change the water in your coffee maker every time you use it.

Cleaning

To get the most of your coffee maker, cleaning is key. Whatever the type of machine you use, it is critical that you clean all of its components to optimize its operation and durability.

Creamy froth

In order to get a consistent and creamy froth, use full-fat milk or cream, and froth it in a cylindrical stainless steel jug. For a firmer froth, refrigerate it for a few minutes.

Conservation

Ideally, try to buy your coffee in small quantities. To ensure freshness, place your beans in an opaque and airtight container and grind them just before brewing your coffee.
